    It's been a while since I made a cocktail thread

    So I made one.

    I've been interested in cocktails using rosé lately, particularly ones that also use tequila. Fortunately, I just ran into this cocktail so I'm going to make it.


    L’Auberge Español
    • 3 ounces rosé
      ¾ ounce blanco tequila
      ¾ ounce lillet blanc
      ½ ounce fresh lemon juice
      ½ ounce demerara syrup (1:1)
      2 dashes grapefruit bitters
      soda water​

    Here's another tequila drink you might like.

    Rosita
    • ​1 1/2 ounces tequila
    • 1/2 ounce sweet vermouth
    • 1/2 ounce dry vermouth
    • 1/2 ounce Campari
    • 1 dash Angostura bitters
    Garnish: lemon twist​

    We had the neighbors over for another crack at a Cuban meal and my wife picked out a couple of cocktails including the Hemmingway Daquiri and another that everyone actually preferred over the former. I thought I had the recipe but while making this thread I realized I don't even have the name. So this thread is to be continued...

    • 3 ounces rosé
    • ¾ ounce blanco tequila
    • ¾ ounce lillet blanc
    • ½ ounce fresh lemon juice
    • ½ ounce demerara syrup (1:1)
    • 2 dashes grapefruit bitters
    • soda water

    Add the first 6 ingredients to a mixing glass and stir with ice. Strain into a Collins glass and top with soda water.

    This was not as good as I hoped but it got better with an extra float if anejo.

      Here's the one I couldn't remember. It has a touch of tiki with the pineapple juice and rum and had a nice frothy head.


      Hotel Nacional
      • 1 1/2 ounces white or aged rum
      • 1/4 ounce apricot liqueur
      • 1 ounce pineapple juice
      • 1/2 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
      • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
      • Garnish: lime wheel
