    Keto Margarita Recipe?

My best friend and I get together for frozen strawberry margaritas every couple weeks, but we’d like to reduce our sugar intake by using lime juice and stevia instead of limeade. Does anyone have a recipe they like?

Tequila shots?!? :-) Lower sugar content...Sorry. That's my recipe, Sid P. Hope someone sends you a better recipe.

I’d cut out the sugars, and blend in real strawberries,

Thanks Richard, that’s part of the plan.

There is a line of mixers out there from Jordan’s. I believe they are just branded Jordan’s Skinny Mixers. They have 5 or 6 flavors. They are good not great. Maybe adding in some fresh strawberries will make it better.

It's not keto but this is a lower-sugar margarita. You could substitute the agave for an artificial sweetener if you really wanted.

      Tommy's Margarita
      • 2 ounces blanco tequila
      • 1 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
      • 1/2 ounce agave nectar
      • Garnish: salt rim

Another excellent option is Ranch Water.
        • 2 ounces blanco tequila
        • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice (from 1 medium lime)
        • Pinch of flaky salt
        • Ice
        • 4 ounces sparkling mineral water, preferably Topo Chico
        • Lime wheel

Place 2 ounces tequila, 1 ounce fresh lime juice, and a pinch of flaky salt in a rocks or highball glass and stir to combine. Fill the glass with ice, top with 4 ounces mineral water, and garnish with a lime wheel.

Are you going to make a simple syrup with the stevia so it is in liquid form? I’ve not tried that but if you are going to be making them often enough, perhaps that helps.

But Attjack posted a recipe above that is just about what I use for my margaritas - the agave as the sweetener. Only difference is 2.5oz tequilla and .5oz water, or sparkling water of some type.

I don't do tequila, but the wife occasionally indulges.

Every couple of weeks? Cut the sugar out of everything else in between and enjoy the treat of your margaritas and friendship without inhibition.
