    Oppenheimer martini

I’m not sure if anyone has seen the new movie, no spoilers here, but apparently Robert Oppenheimer was a martini drinker, a lot of them. One thing I noticed in the movie is while preparing them he would rim the glass, now it was never mentioned what exactly he used in the movie but I read an article that he would use equal parts honey and fresh lime juice to rim the glass then make the martini however you please. He was known to make them very strong, upwards of 4oz of gin 👀 per drink.

On a similar note, if you have not seen the movie, I highly recommend, wonderful movie. 4 stars in my book

Makes sense he would make them strong...dare I say he knew the precise composition to make them...explosive?? (I'm here all day)

Sabrina and I are going next Tuesday night. Looking forward to it. Being a huge WWII buff and reading just about every Oppenheimer book I have been able to find over the years, I am really looking forward to it.

Won't be having any gin, but maybe I can make one for Sabrina before we head to the movie. Then I can explain to her what happened after she wakes up. LOL.

What I learned at the Big Lebowski re-screen is that a vacuum sealer can make a nice "adult capri-sun" beverage to take to the movies....

I feel like a White Russian would be easily accepted into such a re-screening. gboss

Wait... that's not normal? That sounds like a small one to me... <sigh>.

I always use 3oz whiskey in Old Fashionds and 3oz tequila in Margaritas, and most online recipes call for 1.5 to 2oz [Eyeroll]. Lightweights.

“I’m not sure it won’t ignite the atmosphere.”

I would be drinking strong drinks often if I had to test such a theory.
