I lost my favorite beer once...as I remember I just p!ssed it away...

I know that feeling. I really miss the Chocolate Stout and Rocky Mt. IPA from Fort Collins Brewery and Anchor Steam and Anchor Porter.

Well, all may not be lost. I just made a trip to Total Wine ( which btw, I'd never been in a Total Wine and its uhhhh ... pretty fancy ) and I talked with a manager. Who assured me a truck was bringing them Dales Pale Ale tomorrow.

He said its a problem with a local distributor that went bankrupt. And that distributors inventory is being picked up by other distributors, causing some temporary problems.

Which if true, teaches me a lesson about Google AI , who tells a completely different version. It says not distributing to Oklahoma was made at the corporate level, i.e. Monster Beverage. And there was zero chance Dales Pale Ale would ever be sold here again.

So I went to Elon Musk's Grok AI and am told the same story as the Total Wine manager.

Manager said to call them tomorrow evening.

I did enjoy Dale's when I could find it or when I visited my parents in OKC. That's a shame.

Never got it out here, though we have other OB product.

My Google foo shows that only certain states are losing distribution for certain pack sizes and that Monster is or has created an entire Dale's sub-brand

Oskar Blues has a brewery in, I believe, its Brevard , NC .

Lynn Dollar they do, or did. But for whatever reason most of their offerings aren't on the shelves. Mostly see Dale's IPA and the Chub

I'm learning that beer distribution is a complicated thing

Oskar Blues made an IPA called blue dream for about a year. It was fantastic. Then they stopped. I actually called the brewery about it and they said it was a planned limited run. I even went to the brewery - it is in Brevard, NC - on one of my work trips to register my complaint in person. No joy though.

Well shoot, I've seen it in my local Wally World here in SE NC and never bought it to try for some reason. So now I have an excuse - research!

Like IPA's and all hoppy beers, make sure its fresh. Sometimes I wonder how long beers at Walmart have been sitting on a shelf in a warehouse.
