Lager Beer Query answered by AI

My all-time favorite beer is Sessons Lager Black. But I haven't seen it in years. Pre pandemic that is.
Next is PBR for taste and cost. Love it.
    a little AI query:

Some of the best-tasting lager beers include classic options like Corona Extra, Grolsch, and craft selections from breweries like Highland Park Brewery and Suarez Family Brewery.

    Top Lager Recommendations
    1. Corona Extra: A light and refreshing lager that pairs well with Mexican food, making it a popular choice for casual gatherings beerismylife.com.
    2. Grolsch: Known for its unique swing-top bottle, Grolsch offers a crisp and satisfying taste that many beer enthusiasts appreciate sporked.com.
    3. Coors Banquet Lager: This classic American lager is smooth and easy-drinking, perfect for those looking for a straightforward lager experience beerismylife.com.
    4. Michelob Ultra: A low-calorie option that doesn't compromise on taste, making it a great choice for health-conscious drinkers beerismylife.com.
    5. Highland Park Brewery: This craft brewery from Los Angeles is recognized for its fresh and flavorful lagers, often incorporating local ingredients for a unique twist TasteAtlas.
    6. Suarez Family Brewery: Known for their small-batch production, they focus on German-inspired lagers that are clean, dry-finishing, and highly drinkable TasteAtlas.
    7. Trader Joe’s Lager: Surprisingly popular, this affordable option has been praised for its fresh, lightly malty flavor, making it a great choice for parties sporked.com.
    Exploring Lager Styles

Lagers come in various styles, including:
    • Pilsners: Crisp and refreshing, often with a balance of malt sweetness and hop bitterness.
    • Amber Lagers: Richer in flavor, these lagers can have caramel notes and a slightly darker color.
    • Dark Lagers: These may include hints of chocolate and coffee, providing a more robust taste experience.
    Conclusion

Whether you prefer light and refreshing options or more complex flavors, there is a lager out there to suit your taste. Exploring different brands and styles can lead to discovering your new favorite beer. Enjoy responsibly!

You must have asked some type of leading question here with whatever AI you used to generate this.

I asked several AI engines "What are some of the best tasting lager beers out there?" and invariably the list includes many of the famous European lagers, which is where the style originated after all. The only North American lagers on my AI generated lists are craft ones such as Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra, or Firestone Walker Union.

Anyway, what purpose does this list serve when you don't even say what you asked the AI? Or in general even....

Sorry, but as a beer brewer and drinker, this is a horrible list. It's like wading through beer spam. Bah!

I can count on one hand the number of times I had a Grolsch that was not skunked from light exposure due to the green bottle. There is a reason for brown bottles. Anything in a clear or green bottle is subject to having the hop compounds in the beer converted to sulfur like compounds that lead to an off aroma and flavor, due to light exposure. If it is stored dark - those clear or green bottles are fine. If it's exposed to too much light, it goes bad in a big way.

One of my favorite beers used to be Newcastle. But in clear bottles, It was bad more often than not. If you can find it on tap it is a great beer though.

Keep up the good work! PBR is a favorite of mine as well. I will say that I’m a bit disappointed in PBR since they added a light beer version. Blatz is gone, Stroh’s is gone, Shlitz is gone, so many others gone, PBR was always a survivor to be appreciated.

One very enjoyable lager not on the list is Yuengling Traditional Lager.

    I like it a lot.

Coors Banquet I also like but I don’t drink it all that often. Mostly when I’m out west.

I think I recall from my days when I was deeply into beer, that the word " lager " is some deriviation of the German word for " longer " . Because at one time, the lagers were fermented in under ground caverns at low temps, like in the 50's , and it took longer for the beer to ferment.

But my memory is not good, these days.

My wife fell in love with Yeungling . It was first distributed here just a few years ago. And my favorite low carb/low calorie beer is Yeungling Flight. And yeah , I know, but I'm on this low carb diet, paying the price for having too much fun with good food and drink.
