There is no such thing as good light beer in my opinion. BUT, I did read recently that Michelob Ultra is the most popular beer in the USA. Unimaginable to me.

Jfrosty27 "There is no such thing as good light beer in my opinion." And the search goes on.

texastweeter tofu in sweet and sour soup is edible.

Right on. It should be illegal IMHO to call "light beer" a beer.

I had to look that up. I was thinking, "Who is St. Arnold and why the heck does he have a lawn mower?"

Is Rolling Rock a light beer? That’s my preference if I’m not having bourbon or some kind of cocktail.

It isn't marketed as light beer. I don't think there is a strict definition on how much alcohol makes a beer "light." There are some light beers that have more alcohol than others that aren't marketed as light beer. Eh, marketing, shmarketing. I say drink what you think tastes best.

Light beer to me and from my limited research refers more to Calories and Carbohydrates

bbqLuv I wasn't thinking about the carbs, but I think it is a combo of carbs and alcohol that affects the calories. I am no shmexpert on beer, obviously.
I was just looking at Rolling Rock, and now I am so confused I am bowing out. I have no clue if it is considered light. 🤦‍♀️

I was in a bar a couple weeks ago and a guy at the next table was drinking a PBR Light Tall Boy.

I thought I was in some sort of bizarro world. Like when Louis Black said he walked out of Starbucks and there was another Starbucks across the street.

My wife made me sit down and stop staring.

I just finished a 16 mile bike ride so I can drink more of my fav beer, Dales Pale Ale, without getting big as a blimp. It would probably be a lot smarter to just drink Bud Light Next .

But I do like Yuengling Flight, if I have to drink low carb.

SheilaAnn No its not bad, not bad at all. Its one of the great Colorado beers from the early days of the craft beer expansion.

I like the old basic styles over the new variations being brewed today.

Light beer is when your bottle or glass is nearly empty.
Otherwise no thanks…especially any swill from AB.

You sound like a friend of mine who only touts Mico-Brews and is picky of those too.

Micky Ultras and Amstel are the only 2 on that list I like. St Pauly Girl and Heineken are the only 2 non-a beers I can drink but then there's really no point

Even though I’m low carb, I do enjoy a beer or two within the week. If I’m going to injest carbs, I prefer it to be paired with alcohol. So I plan accordingly. I don’t worry about light beers, I just don’t drink as many regular beers. Works out in the end.

I am about 1 mile from a couple of beer providers.
The wife and I may walk there, have a beer or two and walk back.
Got our 2 mile walk in.

BTW avoiding carbs and sugar as reasonable as possible, helps me keep blood glucose under 140 mgdl, been averaging <130 mgdl.

Diet and exercise for the win. IMHO.
