I disagree with "Any IPA" even though I'm not a hophead. The #14 spot should have been Keystone. Keystone light made the list, regular ain't much better.
#7 Should be Bud Light. Regular Budweiser isn't bad.

22" Weber Kettle w/SNS, 18" WSM, Bronco, Grilla Chimp, Traeger Tailgater, UDS, Camp Chef Tahoe Stove.
That was a comedy piece. Iron City? Pittsburg icon. PBR? Slanderous. Rolling Rock? Bud? I remember a time when my mom drank only Bud. If a place didn’t serve Bud, she would order Coke. IPAs? This guy is on crack.

Well, I do enjoy a Heineken now and then. Cuts my thirst in a good way on a hot Texas afternoon. But it won’t displace a good amber ale at the top of my list.

ComfortablyNumb - I fell for that lie. The Heineken in Amsterdam was just as disgusting tasting as the product sold in the US

There are a few on this list I haven’t tried (at least not in the last 20 years), but most of this is off base. Probably a lot of people who don’t like Coors Light…but it’s a well made beer, and is brewed true to style. Same goes for many on this list!
Let’s not even get into his take on IPAs…other than this statement.
The one part he got right is that Heineken tastes off. But that’s not because it’s a poorly made beer, it’s because they put it in green bottles, which just like clear bottles let in a lot of light. Light struck beer tastes like crap…or skunk…or crap from a skunk. Heineken in Europe, canned, or on tap is a much better beer than what we get in those nasty green bottles!
Marketing be damned…I won’t drink a beer that’s in a green or clear bottle. I’m looking at you Heine, Corona, Modelo, Newcastle, etc. Put that same beer in a can or on tap and I’ll gladly partake!Last edited by Santamarina; January 3, 2024, 01:50 AM.

Agreed! Green/clear=skunky.
I like to use the green 15 oz Grolsch bottles (w/ flip tops) for condiments/salad dressings, but the beer is skunky. One time, I asked the liquor store fellow to go in back and get me some bottles from an unopened case. MUCH better beer and quite the confirmation of the green=skunked idea. Cans are a great way to go and it seems many craft brewers are doing just thatLast edited by Willy; January 3, 2024, 04:39 PM.

100% on this. And you're right, it was purely a marketing decision on the green or clear bottles. Nobody in Europe sells beer in green glass, that's for sure. That skunky mercaptans hit is just awful. Beer in cans used to have a stigma too, but I think that's all gone now thankfully. If you put crap beer in a can, it's not the can's fault...!

It's not the bottle color. Grolsch and Heineken need to be refrigerated at app. 42º F. If they aren't they skunk out. I remember walking out of a liquor store in Florida as they had a massive display of Heineken on the floor. And, yes, cans definitely block out the sun.

OK.. I'll be that guy. He's spot on about IPAs.
And, while Bud will never be on a "best" list, I don't think it belongs on a "worst" list either.
Drank a lot of it in my younger days, and for me it's appeal was that it was always pretty consistent taste wise.
One bottle to the next, it was the same. I never felt like other beers were like that... but what do I know? I was weaned on Piels...$6 a case when I was in High School...
For me, worst beer ever, bar none, is anything Miller.
Nothing could give me the trots like that stuff... 🤢
And, note that this is all said by someone that rarely drinks beer anymore, so take it with a grain of salt...

Nobody need make any excuses about their flavor prefs in beer, that's for sure! That's what makes beer the most glorious beverage of all. The spectrum of flavors, palates, mouthfeels is vast compared to any other category of beverage. A qualified beer judge has to be able to identify at least twice as many distinct flavors and aromas as do wine judges. Some folks can't hack bitterness, others find lots of malt cloying... vive le difference!

I seem to recall that Genesee had a 12 Horse Ale that was all the rage for awhile. Late 80s maybe?? That wasn't bad. Never had the pleasure of the Cream Ale

I agree (in part) with Finster. IPAs generally annoy me. Just not my thing at all. I don't really disagree with most of the list, honestly. PBR - I had one once and it was ok, decent. Probably far from the worst I've had.
My taste runs to bocks, ambers and dark Mexican beers.

Ridiculous article by a nobody. I really don't drink beer at all so I'll write an article too.Like so many of the You Tube experts telling you the absolutely wrong way to do something.

Don’t get me started, this guy and many others posting drivel would not know an original though if it bit them in the ass.
I can drink a couple ‘craft’ beers, but when I ‘drink beer’ it needs to be cold, crisp and not bitter. PBR, Bud, Coors, Natural, and other American beers are all good for a day of beer drinking. Light beers are a little too light, but they will do in a pinch.
Save the IPA to pair with lunch at your favorite brewery. Leave the beer-drinking to those who know how it’s done

Panhead John, It’s OK john there are so many people now that you can gather a group to dislike anything. I just read that there’s a group that like those really boney skinny girls over a nice healthy one with a little fluff.
