Mickey-LUs BBQ, established in 1942, is a nice little place to get some great hamburgers. It is located in Marinette Wisconsin, which is on the Michigan-Wisconsin border.

My wife and I stopped in for supper. We ordered a bunch of their double cheeseburgers, and enjoyed every bite. Their burgers are flamed broiled right in front of you over a charcoal grill along with the buns. They are tasty and juicy, and since they’re cut in half, they go down pretty fast and easily. We had strawberry shakes with real strawberries and real ice cream also. I recommend both when attending. Toppings for the burgers are a simple choice of four: ketchup, brown mustard, pickles and raw onions. No fries served here either, so just order more burgers!

I asked the owner Shelly who was working the grill, “How many burgers do you cook in a week?” She replied “We make 1,200 patties a day!” She is currently the 3rd owner since they opened their doors in 1942. I guess their menu hasn’t changed that much in all those years. The owner states "If something isn’t broke, then don’t fix it.” Their hours are 9am-8pm CST and closed on Mondays. So yeah, fresh hot burgers are available for breakfast, or if that’s a little too much, you can have a fried egg sandwich.

The ambiance is a 50s style diner, with close quarters and a beautiful smell of the grill. They even have an old fashioned juke box, The waitress said “3 songs for a quarter.” So we played 9 songs while eating.
I said to Holly ``Do you know what's going to happen tonight when we get home? I’m going to be wishing I had more of these burgers.” So we ordered three more as a take out.
I offered to hold her strawberry shake as we were leaving, her reply was “Not on your life!” My wife, who dislikes fast food burgers and usually orders a salad, was raving about these all the way home.
