I went by here yesterday for lunch - I posted din the travelogue thread I started, but it belongs here I think. It is a small place near the Texas State campus, so the place was full of mostly students. There was a guy playing guitar on the porch. It was raining or I would have asked if I could have posted his pic - the porch was just big enough for him and his guitar. I had a Reuben with chips and a pickle wedge. The chips were probably ruffles or something similar (maybe the HEB brand - HEB has their own brand for everything it seems). The sandwich was good, not outstanding. It was a little dry, and there wasn’t enough meat on it, but the bread was outstanding. Worth a stop if you are in town, even if just to drive around the Texas State campus. It is a nice looking campus. The exterior pic is from their Facebook page, but the sandwich pic is my order.

Texas State is a nice campus....it's also one of the fastest growing universities in Texas (behind North Texas and UTSA). My father's architectural firm designed many of the buildings back when it was Southwest Texas State.
(One of my doc students got a job as an assistant professor there for a time and had her office and taught in one of those buildings, which was pretty cool.)
