Barb's was my favorite So. Texas BBQ joint I went to during the San Marcos Meat Up. That lime zest on the pork ribs...genius.

One of her partners left, and the other was asked to leave. She’s replaced both, but she says, “It was conflicting for me, but we’re back to me and my dream, and nobody can take that away from me.” She added another smoker, but needs to rent the upstairs apartment to get the parking space, which she needs for the smoker. That all is important for her to expand from Saturday and Sunday only to Friday as well.

Did you also read the article about the joints that have closed in the past year? Some further damning detail on the Valentinas demise, and some comments from the owner that explain just how inept he is/was.
