Very bad news Helberg BBQ has burned

The wonderful new BBQ restaurant that I discovered a few months back has completely burned. I have no details as to what happened last night to cause the fire. A young couple Phillip and Yvette Helberg owned the restaurant after a successful start operating a food truck. I throughly enjoyed my visits there and they’re delicious Q. My hopes and prayers are with them. Click image for larger version

That looks like a total loss for sure. That will be a tough one to recover from. Even if they have good insurance, the time to rebuild means lost revenue and lost employees. I hope they kept the truck to fall back on in the meantime....

Sorry to hear this. Little gems need to be discovered and supported but something like this is a major setback. One of our local smokehouses burned months ago and they still are closed 6 months later. Owners and employees are the ones hurt the most.

        Bummer, bummer.
They know what they’re doin. They’ll bounce back, somehow.

Bummer! I doubt that they had business interruption Insurance which would be a life safer for them.

Ugh, I hope they find a way to land in their feet, so hard to see this happen to business owners.

What a shame! Sorry to hear this, hopefully they had adequate insurance and will land back on their feet sooner rather than later.

What city are they in? Not sure I recognize the name. Maybe a candidate for a Go Fund Me page. The BBQ community here in Texas is strong Obi-Won !!

According to a news reporter an insurance adjuster has not been there yet. Phillip said they are relying on their faith to see them through.

Because of some health issues we find our selves spending quite a bit of time in or near Waco,Tx. Today my daughter took me to Helberg Barbecue. It’s on the north side of Waco in Woodway. This isn’t an old rundown place, but a very well laid out newer building with large home made picnic tables to eat at. It’s owned and

That really sucks for a young couple working to get their business established. I'll add a potential couple others who might suffer from this incident as well. If they are renting the space, the building owner gets hit in the wallet as well (insured or not, the income stops), and if it's a unit within a larger building there are adjacent businesses that could be impacted as well.
