We normally go to one fairly high end re$taurant each trip to visit our Son, and this time it was the Ember Kitchen. They serve a lot of small shareable plates with the idea that each person order one or two to share.
The things I remember are some spicy carrots, yucca tots, shrimp, and wagyu steak. Some house made blue tortillas also showed up, and I don't remember at least 3 items that are not listed online.
Everything was great, and the service was exceptional, but I prefer simple instead of fancy. However, the wagyu was probably the best tasting steak I have had, and I may have to buy a couple to cook at home for some special occasion.
They also offered an 18 oz dry aged Texas ribeye for $20/oz and we were told it was 18 oz that night. That's $360 for the math challenged.
We skipped the steak. (I'm thinkin' the o/l menu must be old 'cause it lists the steak for $4/oz.
And the staff kept mentioning that everything was cooked on their Josper oven, which I had never heard of.
And I just realized I didn't get any photos...
