    Portland Oregon BBQ

I was up in Portland Oregon this past weekend visiting my daughter. We ate at a bunch of different restaurants. Walking back to our AirBnB after breakfast at the Pine Street Biscuit (it was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives) which was delicious, I noticed three large stacks sticking out of a shed. Found out that my daughter has a BBQ restaurant just down the street from her apartment. The establishment is called Bottos BBQ. We stopped and had lunch there later in the day. It was very good.

Looks great. I did notice the sausage was left whole, not sliced. I like that so I can enjoy the snap.

Years ago we were on vacation in the Northwest and were traveling along the coast. It was a small town and when we filled up for gas we asked the attendant for the best place in town to eat. He recommend a place named something like the Blue Whale. Anyway they had BBQ on the menu, and I was hesitant to order BBQ. I ordered their pulled pork which was cooked on a commercial pellet smoker. To my surprise it was quite good. So, you never know.

They're sides were not very good. Nor a very good choice on what you could get. Need to send them down to a Texas Meat-Up to learn from the gods.

Botto's is close by. May have to give it a try.
                The tray looks very good.

You really should give it a try, especially if it is close to you. It's very, very good and just a slight step down from the BBQ I had in Texas during two Meat-ups.
