I just made my plane reservations for a family wedding in Dayton at the beginning of November. I should have some time to myself. Are there any BBQ places around Dayton worth checking out? Thanks.

I'm from Dayton so I can give you some advice.
City BBQ is a local chain out of Columbus and they have grown rapidly due to putting out a good and consistent BBQ. The sides are also amazing. Plenty of places all over town so you should find something close to where you are. I would say it is a good 3 out of 5 BBQ place, I have high standards so for a chain restaurant this is a damn good score. Honestly, I want to give it a 4/5 just because the service and sides are such high quality .
Hickory Bar-B-Q is an old BBQ place in town. 2/5 There will be a lot of local defenders.
Company 7 BBQ 2/5 They have a lot of competition awards but I don't think what they serve in the restaurant lives up to the hype.
Fatback's BBQ 3/5
Texas Beef and Cattle Company 4/5
Dickey's BBQ 2/3
OinkADoodleMoo 2/5
Nelly's Ckicken 5/5 for Chicken. This is a Chicken joint that does amazing pollo ala brasa and it is a nice sit down place as well. White table cloth vibe. Chicken, white rice, black beans, and a side of green pepper sauce is my usual order.
