Lived there for a year and a half back in 2006/2007 I think? We was pretty po' then, didn't do a lot of eating out. I worked at a steakhouse, but it closed during that time when the owner died.

Just realized I really don't know much about that town in spite of living there for 18 months or so. lol

Bee's Bar-B-Q is a national treasure. Opens about 11 AM and all food is gone by around 1 PM. This is where you want to go. Ask around, locals will direct you. It is something to experience.

Lived in ENC for 25+ years…B’s is the best kept secret where BBQ is concerned. Outside of ENC, almost no one knows about it.

Sam/Pete Jones make fine food. The smoked turkey breast at Pete Jone’s in Winterville is amazing.
