Goldsboro NC has invested a lot into their downtown in the decade plus I've lived here. But only in the last few years have we begun to reap the benefits of businesses bringing unique things to the area.
Anyway this particular buisiness opened last week and we gave it a try today. His other business's Brisas (a latin fusion place and pretty darn good) and Up North Pizza (usually B+ pizza which in this town is A- at worst) did a shuffle of location which opened room for this dog and burger joint.
The focus is smash burgers and various dogs with maybe too much going on. This is one of 5 spots we can take the dogs due to outdoor seating so even if it was C+ food we'd still go there from time to time. The good news is that even with a soft opening, way more business than usual thanks to 3 events going on downtown simultaneously, our experience was still mostly positive.
Here's the temp menu, should expand in the next week or so

The only major negative for us was these onion rings. While we didn't care for the ranch/bbq dip that's personal, the rings were just WAY too thick. The batter tasted good but carried so much grease and the rings fell apart after the first bite. We did give them feedback on those so hopefully they trim 'em down a little.

The burgers however were good, not amazing but good.
I had the Savage, flavors were great. Wife had the classic (second pic) and said it was good but maybe needed a pickle. Fries were ok, not bad at all but I'd like a little better. Maybe if they were piping hot (but they were VERY busy, and it is their first week running this operation), but they weren't under or over seasoned.

They do have competition on the next block with another gourmet burger and southern fusion gourmet fast food type operation so it will be interesting to see how both places evolve.
Regardless, if you're ever traveling through Wayne County NC on your way to Wilmington or wherever, swing by our downtown. They are trying and evolving constantly in a good way.
