    Katz's Pastrami Tour

Coming to your (my) house. I just saw this. I'm going to do it. Look what you get for $175 and free shipping in the U.S.A.

Experience all forms of finest-quality pastrami on the planet with Katz's Pastrami Tour package. We've included three ways to enjoy our signature pastrami:   1. Sliced pastrami -  hand-carved & expertly trimmed at our deli counters, just as it has been since 1888. It's our top seller and why we've been in business for five generations! 2. Whole pastrami - try your hand at carving your very own Katz's 4+ lb pastrami navel at home! See boiling and carving instructions here.  3. Pastrami hash - a perfect way to infuse the smoky, juicy pastrami flavor into dishes in your own kitchen. Our hash is made from tender pastrami pieces that didn't quite make the cut for our sliced pastrami, but are just as delicious and flavorful.    This package will serve 8+ full-size Katz's pastrami on rye or pastrami Reuben sandwiches, if prepared for one meal. Our pastrami will also remain fresh for up to a week if refrigerated, and up to two months if frozen, so you can enjoy it for future meals as well!    And if you'd like to carve your pastrami on the very same full-grain maple cutting boards as we do at Katz's, add one of our carving boards to your package. They are fashioned from Katz's countertops and are one-of-a-kind collector's items, knife marks and all.

My son did this a couple years ago AND invited his mom and I over to help eat it. Truly excellent and in his words, worth every penny. Not the thing that you would do often, but a real treat. Enjoy!

Not a bad deal as I believe sandwiches are $30 each so 8x30 is $240.

Yeah, was just gonna say this. Really not a bad price at all.

I ate a pastrami sandwich there decades ago, I still remember, it was unbelievable.

I was just thinking the exact same thought. Katz’, and Carnegie Deli, and cheesecake from Lindy’s.

We haven’t been to NYC since the towers fell, though. And now Mrs can’t travel, so it’s not happening.

I've not had Katz's - just the old Carnegie Deli, as mentioned in the Adam Sandler Hannukah song, but it no longer exists. I'll have to visit Katz if I ever make it to NYC again. I love Meathead's Close to Katz recipe..

I would order this sample pack, but my wife would kill me for spending that much on it!

Definitely make time to go there. It is an awesome experience. The lines can be a bit long but they do move somewhat fast. Love going there whenever I am in NYC

That sounds like fun. Nothing like a good pastrami sammy. Pastrami in Los Angeles is like BBQ in Texas, we've got some of the best in the country. I'm within a short ride to 4 of them. Bon appetite

All those NYC to Hollywood transplants! Best of both worlds, deli food and SoCal sunshine. No January street slush.

Eat there a few times a year. Is one in Houston now ate there (not even close to the same).

To be clear, the NYC Katz's Deli is the only location except for a small outpost in Brooklyn that opened like five years.

Anything in Texas or anywhere outside of Manhattan and Brooklyn is a separate restaurant and not associated with the NYC Katz's Deli

That is a good deal. A couple of months ago I ordered a large pastrami, two loaves of bread, and an 8oz mustard, it cost about $150

I've come to my senses. I will do this if the deal is still available. 2 reasons for the hesitation. 1st presenting this to my wife in her current condition could/will put unnecessary stress on her. 2nd today I made a order on a fair amount of wine. And while at Whole Foods, I purchased additional wine. I'll let the dust settle and see how her revaluation goes next Monday.

I didn’t do it this year, but around Passover time, I would order the 1lb packs of sliced pastrami, corned beef and brisket, plus a couple packs of the mini latkes. I’ve eaten at Katz’s a bunch, plus Carnegie Deli (not there anymore), the benefit of having family in Manhatten and also traveling to Manhatten on business . The packages from there aren’t quite the same as being there, but pretty darn close! The toughest part is finding decent rye bread locally - Katz’s shipped ones just don’t make the trip that well.

Pretty sweet deal. Those pickles are a perfect compliment to the sandwich. And you realistically could get a lot more than 8 sandwiches out of that if you are OK not piling the meat as high. But where is the fun in that???
