Any recommendations south of I44? (Not St. Louis. I have some familiarity with their BBQ scene and have a good handle on what to explore.)

Clark asked this same question in early 2021, for Branson specifically, and I bumped it and was recommended to try Gettin' Basted in Branson but we never got the chance to. We were told it was excellent by a member here. Our group decided in favor of trying Guy Fieri's Branson Kitchen, not a BBQ place but there may be some on the menu you know how that goes. We were all very happy with it for what it's worth.

Maybe I’ll have to hunt down all the BBQ joints and do reviews myself. I know of one that is potentially for sale. Some days it’s tempting to buy it, but then I regain my sanity.
