    Arby's steak bites

Has anyone dared to try an Arby's steak bite?

I'm hoping to try them tomorrow evening. If I do I will of course report back. I don't have high hopes, but moderately tasty will suffice.

I figure they will have a ton of sodium, overcooked and overpriced. Sodium is a mf'er in fast food. Will wait for Huskee official review.

I made a review, linked to below, but the short answer to your concern is they taste like a properly salted brisket and mine were cooked perfectly.

I have had them several times. For fast food, I think they are great. Aside from the sodium concerns eating just the meat with no bread or other stuff is healthier. I will continue to get these as long as they are available.

I would imagine the meat itself is tough cuts that are rarely found in the grocery. Likely pressure cooked, probably steamed to reheat.

I think that they are at least some kind of meat should be considered a bonus

Just the commercial, when they pour them out and they leave no grease marks. Is all I need to know. No thanks.

To be fair, a properly home smoked brisket has grease marks because of the fat cap, anb that's a very good thing. This isn't oil grease, it's rendered fat grease, unctuousness.

As planned, I tried them today. Here's the review I wrote up: https://pitmaster.amazingribs.com/fo...bites-a-review

I've tried them. they're not bad. especially for a) fast food fare and b) the price. Tender, a little dry, palatable rub. all in all, if I need quick drive thru food, this is better and better FOR you than Chicken nuggets from McD's

This! We can’t forget is just fast food.

I didn't know they had these when I stopped by. I don't do fast food all that much, but tend to stop and get a roast beef sammie when on the road, as other than some stray sesame seeds, they are rather mess free.

I got the 5 piece and was rather surprised. As already mentioned, the smoke flavor was quite up front and they were very tender. Coming in at a dollar a piece is an ouch, but that's beef nowadays. I'm not a fan of the bbq sauce that came with it though. It was quite sweet.

Well I hope others' experiences were as good as mine. It stands to reason not everyone's will be, but I hope yours is.
