I don't know if the chain is having issues or not but this one near the Denver airport is closed. It has been open for about the 20 years I have been staying at this hotel. There are about 10 hotels within very easy to next door walking distance plus the local apartments and condos. If you can't generate business here something is terribly wrong. I know a lot of chains are having issues now.

They used to be here in Houston back in the 1980s but within about 10 years they closed down. I'm sort of an odd ball, I was raised in Chicago on thin crust pizza so Uno's never did do much for me anyway.

There was an Uno's about 10 min from us for a number of years, but it closed after 4 or 5 years. It was OK, but not close to the top of our go to list of eateries.

I know that UNO’s and have visited it in the past, as I also stayed at the Marriott across the street too many times to count in the past. I was never impressed with the service or food and stopped going after a few tries. We also went as a large group with my daughter’s soccer team and service was better than, but to your point. The Ted’s Montana Grill in the same location was always packed, standing room most nights. It’s been a while since I’ve stayed in that area, but hopefully people were able to find work afterwards.

Yes Ted's is good. The server at Outback told us the Mexican restaurant in the same center is taking that building over. While flying every week I stayed here at the Hampton Suites once or twice a week. Been retired 12 years now so we aren't here much anymore.

That Mexican food spot was decent as well! I remember that one, not the name, but tacos were pretty good. There was another Mexican food restaurant in the outdoor mall not to far away, where Bass Pro Shop/Cabelas - one or the other. They had really good food but not sure if they are there anymore as well.

They're not alone:
Red Lobster brought seafood to the masses. Now it’s on the verge of bankruptcy | CNN Business
I strongly suspect that the Red Lobster in my hometown will be closing soon. We haven't eaten there in years.
According to the article:
"Red Lobster is now reportedly considering filing for bankruptcy protection to restructure its debt and shed some of its 650 US locations."

Yeah - I read back in the fall/winter how Red Lobster had reported a quarterly loss of many millions due to their "endless shrimp" promotion bringing too many folks in who actually EXPECTED to sit and eat shrimp endlessly. They then jacked the price of the endless shrimp up to $30 or so, versus just axing it. Still apparently not enough.

Ate there about 8 years ago due to a stinkin' gift card. Sad food experience. Could have bought breaded shrimp at wolly world and topped it with ease.

I ate at the original UNO in downtown Chicago years ago just to say I did. I haven’t met a pizza I didn’t like because I’m all over the place with dough and topping variations.

Jfrosty27 I also have my favorites and not-so-favorites, but a good, plain cheese pizza is better than a mediocre name-your-toppings pizza. I had the distinct honor of eating pizza from the original Dominos in Ann Arbor back in the day when they weren’t a huge national chain. I’ll have to find an original Detroit style joint sometime.

I remember staying at the Courtyard out there for work a few times when I would travel to Denver. I remember thinking I would eat there because I love pizza. But then I never did because I was like, “I can just get this at home.” And yet I haven’t had Unos in over 10 years.
