North East BBQ reviews - New England, New York, and Northern New Jersey
A couple of months ago, the Boston Sunday Globe had a feature on BBQ and the best spots in and around Boston. They also mentioned a web site, http://www.pigtrip.net that states, "Your guide to BBQ joints in Boston, New York and everywhere in between". His directory of restaurants is extensive and includes web links and reviews where he has one.
I've eaten at a few of the places he has reviewed and find him in tune with what I have liked and disliked. On any day, a spot can be up or down but he tries to hit locals enough time to get a true sense of the Q coming through.
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.
