    Cattleman's Roadhouse, Frankfort, KY

I have had so much pork lately that my ankles are swollen and I think I am growing a curly tail. So tonight I went back to beef. Cattleman's appears to be a local chain. The lot was full, so I pulled in. They have a decent salad bar, which I needed. The steak was very good - new york strip. Standard baked potato with butter and sour cream was above average. The bread was good too. I had a "signature" old fashioned that was made with Knob Creek, but it was too sweet. Maple syrup. Good meal though, and much cheaper than the steak in TX. The steak was comparable to that one.

I heard a lady at an adjacent table order her steak well done. I almost asked the waiter not to serve her

Your steak was even shaped like a pork chop...

That looks really good. I don't go to steak houses very much anymore, I need to do so more often.

It was very good. I am only doing it because I am on the road. At home I never go to steak houses.

Maple syrup in an Old Fashioned? That's not right. Bring that bus up North and we'll get you a fish fry and a real Old Fashioned.

Unfortunately I am allergic to fish. But not old fashioned. Without maple syrup lol

Ordered a steak well done? How rude. But your steak looks perfectly done.

It's OK well done because they asked for Ketchup

Purc Ketchup make it appear rare, and paired with Strawberry Lemon aide --LOL

I had a boss who would order "well done" also. A Texan too. Then dump A1 on top.
