My family and I will be taking a trip to Ireland later this summer. I'm curious if any of the members of The Pit have been there and having any recommendations for good restaurants of any type. Good BBQ always appreciated, however, for this adventure I'm looking for places that are more native or have European influences. Pub suggestions welcome too. We will be in Dublin and then traveling to County Kerry and places in between.

For pubs Temple Bar, and be sure to visit Guinness St James gate and the rotating bar at the top of the tower. It’s been a few years since i was there but most of the pubs were restaurants until a certain time when they became bars, a lot of them also have live music, the tables were more group tables rather than private tables but it works as it forces people to talk with each other. Have fun and enjoy.
Hmm, I can ask a couple of my friends over there. We had several Irish come here to the states on work assignments several years ago and we became pretty good friends. I’ll see what they say.
I just got back a text from friends who said if you are Dingle, County Kerry, the seafood restaurants down by the harbor are good, especially for lunch.
