Nice Time at Cooper's Hawk Winery in Indy

Indianapolis, IN, USA, features "Devour Indy" twice a year. This means that dozens of restaurants around Indianapolis have specials on their menus at reduced prices that allow people to eat at a reasonable price. I looked up Cooper's Hawk and they are primarily a Midwest franchise with additional locations in Georgia, Florida, and the Virginias and Arizona.

My standard for good restaurant food is that the restaurant has to present me with food that is better than my own. Cooper's Hawk delivered tonight with our date night excursion. Princess and I had a wonderful meal with good wine.

This is the pretzel crusted pork chop with broccolini and mashed potatoes. Delicious.

    Brian

There is one of the on the other side of town from us. We visited several years ago and I remember that it was very good, but it's been long enough that I don't remember what we had.

Mrs. H and some friends have joined their wine club. I have joined them for dinner at our local Coopers Hawk. Food is always good. Crapy beer selection.

Hey Brian, your meal looks really good! Those restaurants are very popular around here. There’s been one 6 miles east of us for about 15 years, and it’s always busy. Last fall a new one opened 5 miles west of us, and it too seems very busy. We don’t drink much, but fans of it always mention the wine club and beer selection.

          What did Princess have?

Hey, Sid P Princess had a chicken and pasta dish that she loved. I tasted her chicken and I think it had been "velveted" with sodium bicarbonate. It was super tender.

We pay for the wine club at Cooper's Hawk and get two bottles a month.

I haven't been to one for several years, but last few times I was there, they had a beef rib braised in red wine that was amazing.
