    Pizza Near Midway Airport

Hi! I am flying in Thursday and driving to Kalamazoo for a conference. The team wants pizza, but we have a tight schedule. Suggestions? We land at noon and need to be in K-zoo by 5:00 PM. And no, it does not have to be Chicago Deep Dish. LOL

Food options near airports are usually bad.

That said, there do seem to be some Lou Malnati’s and Giordano's locations very close by. I’d start there.

You could always call ahead too and they can have it ready for you.

Vito & Nicks thin crust very near Midway is an old school classic spot.

Vito and NIcks!!! I totally forgot about them. Thank you!

If you want thin crust, it’s about a 10 minute drive from Midway to the Home Run Inn location at 6221 S. Archer Ave.

SheilaAnn There is Danny's Pizza on Archer. They make a damn good pie. It has that old Chicago Southside Pub feel to it. Here is their Website. This would be my choice. There is also a full service Lou Malnati's on 64th and Cicero. That would be my second choice.

Serving Chicago style pizza since 1976, including deep dish pizza, stuffed pizza, square-cut pizza and tavern-style pizza.

troymeister I didn't think Danny's was still around. Do you know of Richard-Midway Funeral home further down Archer at Lorel? That's my family! And I used to live in the first house behind Parkside Chapels.

        Good pizza!

There is a Lou Malnati's at 6456 S Cicero Ave, Chicago, IL 60638, right near the SE corner of Midway airport. Walking distance. They make some of the best deep dish. https://www.loumalnatis.com/chicago-midway

Make sure to get buttercrust and sausage. Salads are pretty good too.

Loves me some Lou’s! When I first moved here, I had it shipped in. Then I learned to make it myself 🍕💕

Sorry, I don’t have anything to add, but you can’t go wrong with Lou Malnati’s.

You’re not going to go wrong with Lou ‘s though I prefer Giordano’s myself. Ironically we’re actually having Lou Malnati’s tomorrow night as it’s part of a fundraiser for my daughter’s flag football team.

if you’re feeling adventurous I’d recommend a trip ia little northeast of Midway and go to Pequod’s. That’s my favorite and my go to in my birthday.

Try Pequod's Pizza's award-winning Chicago deep-dish pizza at our restaurant in Lincoln Park. Make a reservation online to ensure your table today.

Jfrosty27 Pequod’s is still there. Burt’s is about a block away. My version of pizza heaven.

Draznnl No kidding? Still there? That was an amazing place back in those days. Maybe it still is. We would go there for lunch, have way too much pizza and drink pitchers of beer. The CEO was buying and didn’t care that we never made it back to the office. Those were the days.

I got Pequod’s for work once and was not a fan. I guess not my style. I love me some Giordano’s though. I think I’ll be at Lou’s in a couple weeks for a friend’s birthday.

It pains me to hear all youse talking about all the great pizza joints you have. Here in Central Florida (the Place where Good Food Goes to Die) we get garbage. You would thing that with the millions of people that immigrate here from the North, someone would open up a good pizza place.

Oh so true. There’s one edible wood-fired pizza place in the area here and that’s it.

I put it out there to my team. They voted on Lou’s. Makes sense because of timing and location and variety. Again, one team member is veg, so this will accommodate her.

I’m so excited! Funny, the Lou’s I used to frequent most was roselle/schaumburg.

NOTHING like a Lou’s! I commented on Pequod’s above. Lou’s is my current favorite primarily because they have a location about 10 minutes from me here in the Milwaukee area! Sooooo good.

I’ve been to all the places mentioned above except Burt’s, and they’re all amazing. Here’s a standing offer for all Pit members: Visit the far northwest suburbs and I’ll take you to Georgio’s Pizzeria in South Barrington or Crystal Lake. It’s as good as any of them.

I’ll have to make a run to the burbs one of these days to try it out!

Whenever our office got pizza it is always from Lou’s in Libertyville. We haven’t had it in almost a year 😞. We got it last night for the flag football fundraiser and it was awesome. One Chicago style cheese and a thin crust pepperoni. No leftovers.

Given a choice in that area, I'd take Bill's Pub over Lou's. Or slide up the road a bit and hit the Quonset Hut in Waukegan.
