Three Rivers Smokehouse

We stopped in to the Three Rivers Smokehouse today for lunch. It is in Almont CO where the East river and the Taylor river combine to start the Gunnison river. Joanne and I split a brisket sandwich sided with onion rings and fries (oh boy, leave the windows open tonight in the camper! 😳😂). The brisket had nice smokey flavor but was a little dry. Onion rings were awesome! Nice Fly Fishing Shop there too! Pic of the RV is overlooking Taylor Park Reservoir.
Tonight it’s 🌭 on the 🔥 then somemores 😛

Never mind the Smokehouse. How was the fishing in the reservoir? Hope you got to fish the Gunnison, also.

Hope to fish Taylor river tomorrow out of Rosy Lane Camp!

Be sure and try the ponds outside of Almont. Lots of big trout in them.

We wanted to stop there in June when we camped on the Taylor River but passed by because we were too
early for lunch. Had to keep moving to get to the Cochatopa stream and set up remote camp. Glad to hear it wasn't a disappointment. We have passed that place so many times on the way to Crested Butte, it's sad that we have never given it a try.
