Ate lunch at the Smoking Pig on 4th street in San Jose. They also have one in Fremont. Had Paul's 7-month Brisket platter. Comes with cornbread and choice of sides. Friends had the brisket platter also and the 2 meal (brisket and chicken quarter)
I use to work in San Jose about 12 years ago and went there for lunch a number of times and enjoyed it. That was before I started smoking myself so when a couple of friends wanted to met there I was a little skeptical but argeed.
I'm glad I did. It was very good, nice and smokey and served naked with sauces available (which were okay). Cornbread was sweet and tasty. the mac&cheese rather good not great.
Will go back when in San Jose. Have to tryt the Fremont location where they also have Blues bands.
