I am planning to use it for cooking, so it will help me through recipes step-by-step as well as measurement conversions and ingredient substitutes when have my hands dirty and I can't touch my phone. I am also really pleased by the accessibility features, as it will caption Alexa responses for me, and subtitle videos/other things as needed. This will be fun.

I don’t have one, but those things are pretty cool. To be able to just say "Gumbo Recipes" or whatever, then have it pop up hands free is really helpful in the kitchen. I use my iPad a lot for viewing recipes in the kitchen. Did you do the 5 easy payments of $13.? 😂

I really want to like the Echo Show. But, you can't install any apps on it. And I use Paprika as a recipe manager, so until I can install apps - I'll stick with my Fire HD 8 w/Show Mode dock.

I used to have a binder full of recipes. My wife got frustrated with it, found Paprika and entered all my recipes in the binder into Paprika. It syncs between my phone, laptop and Fire HD 8. It's even got a browser built in, that you can paste in the address to a recipe you find and click "Save Recipe". It's awesome, and I'm NOT going back to the binder!

We have Alexa, she don't know the answers to questions I ask.
Pretty good with the time though.
My recipes are all locked into my memory so we may be going hungry pretty soon around here.

I can confirm that the All Recipes skill does not support linking to your All Recipes account despite numerous online sites saying you can do so, so you cannot use Meathead recipes with All Recipes.

However, if you upload Meathead's recipes to https://recipespeak.com/ and add the skill to the Show and link your account, you can cook with his recipes easily. I am pleased.
