I have one enameled DO and a big cast iron one. I rarely use the enameled one. What do you use yours for?

I like the staub ones over the others. I have a few. Use them for indoor stuff, casseroles, bread baking, stews etc.

outside, the lodge camp ovens run the show.

I use my Staub EDO for beans, soups, roasts, and generally looking really, really good on my stove top.

I got mine from Costco.com, it's a 5 qt in blue. Love it!

Looks like maybe Staub is getting rid of some color choices (or lowering stock)? I see similar colors on Amazon, Williams Sonoma and other places for the $99 while others are 160 or normal (like the grenadine I have). So if this site runs out check your favorite supplier.

Not sure if the $99 version on Amazon is the same...but I am by no means an expert. It shows "Cast Iron" versus "Enameled Cast Iron"?

It is always my distinct pleasure to be of assistance, Brother!
Top-Notch Quality at 66% off is my kinda deal.

Might jus git me one, at that price, even though I have 4 indoor DOs already, three of em enameled.

            Pro Tip:

Where they can really shine is if yer doin large family gatherins, or even caterin events; heat em up, or chill em down, set on trivets an serve outta them, lid on betwixt servins, an foods stay pipin hot, or delightfully chilled fer a Very Long Time, indeed! :0

(Think along th lines of "Cast Iron Cambro", Bro!)

            Do it alla th time...

Great website, some excellent knives. I own several Le Qreuset pieces and am very happy with them, built like tanks. I like them better than Staub, just sayin’ ...

Awesome website though, man could easily clear his bank account in there

Le Creuset is doubtless among, if not Th Best in this genre, nolo contendere, Brother, but not everybody can go nearly that deep outta pocket, especially in this turbulent year.

Jus tryin to help alla my Pit Brothers an Sisters find a deal on summa th Good Stuff, vs. th alternatives.

An, yeah, in regards to yer last: I actually give Smokey Joe my debit card to play with; Lord only knows where, or even when I'll ever find it again... :P

Okay, kinda OT but kinda not. I saw several Scanpan fry pans listed in the Black Friday deals on the Cutlery and More website that Mr Bones shared.

I have thought recently about getting a nonstick pan specifically for omelettes and wondered if one of these Scanpans would be a good choice, but I'm pretty clueless about nonstick pans.

What size and brand would you guys recommend?

IMO, the OXO Good Grips Non-Stick Pro 10-inch Open Fry Pan, for $40 dollars, is a winner. I've had it for 13 months and it is still as slick as new.

Your mileage may vary. Registrations, taxes, dealer pre and options do not apply Void where prohibited by law. Do not remove the label under threat of penalty.

After doing a lot of reading - which is always a scary thing - is this a good size(4 qt)? A lot of reading suggests you should go for the 5-6qt. This would be my first DO to add to my cooking arsenal.

Well...that was a quick $275. Went with the 5.75-quart Oval. Not sure I like the rooster knob but oh well. So...my wife has stated I can buy whatever since I am starting to cook new things!

Bigger's likely Better, in most cases, cooker-wise.

I have 2 4qt and one 6 qt. The 6 qt is heavy, but it is money. The 4qts are only used for baking bred. I would buy a 6 at times.

Anyone have a "regular" lid knob that would want to trade for the "rooster" it appears I will be receiving.

You and my daughter will be cooking in twin DOs. I received hers and it appears to live up to the advertised Staub quality. The black interior may inhibit the ability to judge the browning of the food when searing, but that's not a major issue. Overall it is a nice DO.
