Often, th folks what answer th phone ain't even sure when they close, ime. HD's been cuttin it closer to Mem Day, incrementally, fer th last several years. This year might be a total wash, give our circumstances.
If Kingsford an HD are both teamed up to lose millions in annual revenue, reckon that's their call...

I've been checking, and I don't think we will see the sale this year. My Lowe's and Home Depot have been busier than normal the past few months, as folks stuck at home tend to start working on their houses and yards.

The other sign pointing to lots of folks working on their houses - we have curbside pickup of trash and debris here in Huntsville, in addition to the normal trash pickup in the can, a truck comes around with a crane and picks up old water heaters, trees, fencing, construction debris, bushes, bags of leaves - whatever you toss out to the curb. I've never lived anywhere else that did this as part of your $14 a month garbage collection fee. That truck normally comes around on Tuesdays, the same day as my household garbage can pickup, but has been running several days behind, due to the large amount of stuff folks are throwing out as they work on their houses.

Anyway, the point is that with all the business they can handle, there is no incentive to entice folks in with a sale.

I just checked the Lowe's site and they had them on sale for $16.88 thru 5/27. Not much of a sale, but it's something. I think that's what they were last year? Home Depot showed the regular price of $19.88.

Last year it was something like $12.88 for the 2 pack of 20# bags, versus $9.98 the year before for a 2 pack of 18.6# sacks.

I checked the Home Depot weekly ad for my area and nothing related to outdoor cooking is included. Usually the ad covering Memorial Day has all sorts of grills and fuel on sale. Not this year apparently. No Kingsford. No Royal Oak. Not even that Embers brand. Crossing my fingers for the 4th.

I see the Kingsford pellets at $5 off. I'm a PBC guy, so I don't know how good a deal that is.

It's not looking good for this Memorial Day. I seem to recall that they, (Depot & Lowes), didn't do the 2-bag for $9.99 sale, for KBB, until 4th of July last year and it's looking like they'll be doing the same this year. Dang! Stock up when it goes on sale is my plan. I"m down to 8 bags and won't panic, just yet. \

I got the Home Depot 4th of July ad for my area of Florida today. KBB 2 pack of 20 lb bags for $19.88. Not much of a deal. Still crossing my fingers for a Labor Day deal...
