Just used RO today for the first time on a marinated flank steak in a kettle, burned for 20 minutes in a full chimney before they ashed over. Once in the grill they burned extremely hot with a clean natural smell, minimal flare -up and constant red hot glow. I use RO lump always and now I will be also using their briquettes as well.

"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." ~Benjamin Franklin
Not as good as the deal you found but my local grocer currently has the 15.4 lb bags for $4.99 as compared to $13.99 for 16 lb bags of Kingsford. My Lowe's currently has the 15.4 lb bag of RO listed for $6.99. I grew up with dad using Royal Oak and he never had problems with it so I've been buying a couple of bags every time I go to the store. I haven't used briquettes for years - just lump charcoal in the kamado - but I'm now using the briquettes in my new PK grill.Last edited by 58limited; May 20, 2020, 02:06 PM.
