Hammerstahl has monthly sales; this month they are pushing the 10" and 14" slicers. 10" for 49.95, 14" for 59.95. I am thinking about it cause I don't have a slicer.

My only hesitation is that I have some Hammerstalh knives and the handles are a little small. They are well balanced and extreme sharp out of the box though.

I have the 14 and it is a very nice knife. I agree that some of the handles on their smaller knives could be a bit larger for those of us with Vienna sausage fingers, but the slicer handles are fine. I've mentioned this before, while the 14 can be a little long for some jobs I have never found it to be too short.
On the ironic side, a friend gave me his old Hobart deli slicer recently and I sliced up 10 lbs of bacon and a big 'ol ham yesterday. I still use my 14"HS for small jobs and couldn't imagine not having it.
