grantgallagher For me it is the read time when checking multiple roasts. That is the difference. Its just a personal preference .

Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.
It's a damn nice item. You really notice how good it is when you also have a couple $15 knockoffs and you grab one of those thinking, "What's the difference?" Big difference in how long your bare hand is in the heat zone, is what.
Once the money is gone, you don't miss it. But eight years later the Thermapen will still be doing exactly what you want it to.
