That's going to be a bear to use effectively - small opening, fire needs to be in back without direct access, etc. My wife built a large one as a community project, and it worked well. But this guy could be a problem.
My sister and brother in law's bread oven as they refer to it is pretty cool. But it takes a long time to get to temp. In the second picture the entire Thanksgiving dinner is cooking in there. That's the ideal situation since it's an all day cook and worth firing it up.
I would be interested in hearing how that little terracotta one works. If I didn't have a Blackstone pizza oven here, and a PizzaQue at the cabin I would buy it and try it myself.
If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I say it’s a pass. The interior is 17â€W by 18â€D. That’s not a lot of room for a wood fire at the back and pizza too, unless your pizza is real small. I think the kettle pizza add on would be better likely. Then again, maybe I just don’t know how to build a hot small fire for this thing!
