Thanks CandySueQ I may give them a try. D'Artagnan kind of hacked me off. The duck they had on sale (Pekin) was of course 'out of stock'. They said to give them my email address (which I'm always reluctant to do) and they would alert me when they had more. Well they never did alert me and of course the sale went away a few days later. Same old bait and switch.

That really sucks to hear. Ive generally had a good experience with them and their customer service. Bought a porcelet rib rack once and they called me the same day to let me know they were sending them back to their supplier because they were undersized. Offered the bigger full bone in porcelet loin at the same price. Ended up getting that and deboning to do porchetta.

D'Artagnan wiped my shopping cart out with intro discount after a quick hiatus to do some real work! Maple Leaf is good and they ship in a nice Styrofoam container with dry ice. Fixed duck breast last Sunday -- it's one of my favorites!
