The hardcover was an excellent read. There is not on ounce of pretense or arrogance in Aaron Franklin.

Agreed. He shows a surprising amount of humility given how successful he's been.

I also have the hard cover. It's difficult for me to search for a specific topic on a kindle.

Older Kindle books are straight scans, very poor. Newer ones are much easier. I have this on Kindle and it's pretty easy. You can jump around and find your way back like holding your finger on the previous page.

$2.99? What the heck, i just blew $3.25 plus tax in the crapeteria for a 1.25 oz bag of jerky. I know, I know...that's $41.60/lbs.

A person could make millions selling small bags of jerky.

No kidding. You can get a SRF Wagyu Porterhouse for about the same price per lb.

I thought about it a few years ago, selling jerky, but Sasquatch was taken.

I have both the hard cover and kindle. Like Mosca said above it’s easy searching through the book with kindle.

What’s best about AF is that there is a very real attitude of, "There are many paths to great brisket. Here is one of them."

So many bbq books, even very good ones, are strident instruction manuals. The best of them (Meat’s, AF’s, Raichlen’s, some others) give you the tools to learn how to make your own rules.
