Bass Pro Shops buys Cabela's and the bargain cave is bursting

I was chatting with the good folks at Cabela's yesterday about outdoor cookers and few other things and the topic of Bass Pro Shop's acquiring them in September 2017 came up.

Between the two chains, they have a lot of similar inventory and they have been filling the bargain cave with many more items than normal at reduced prices. I understand this is an ongoing thing and new items are being added daily.

If you are in the market for something take a peek, the bargain cave may just save you a few bucks.

I literally live 15 minutes from a Bass Pro Shop so I never go to Cabela's. Do you know if they have a duel inventory sale?

I do not know if Bass Pro has a similar option to the bargain cave, but if they do I suspect they are doing the same thing. The Cabela's where I live does not have a bargain cave, but the one 5 hours away does, so it may be on a store by store basis but online is getting deals. Hopefully, I will also be chatting with BPS soon as well.

Bass Pro, Cabelas. CVS, Walgreens. Lowes, Home Depot. Dick's, Academy ----add to the list. I go out of my way and will pay a bit more to find what is now considered "old school" non chain restaurant, hardware store, sporting goods store, what have you. Hard to do as most have been forced out of competing and closed.

-not saying I will pass up a "deal" at one of the big chain stores.
