Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.

I have a Smoke, an IR thermometer and quick read probe. All ThermoWorks No fancy folding probe. All high quality, and if there is a sale and I need something, I jump on it.
The markdowns are conservative. I don't know what their markdown cutoff numbers are, so most of the time I pass or buy a cheapie product-a la the Harbor freight or Wally World sale comparisons, hence lesser quality products in my arsenal.
Have been signed up for years for the drawing to get an MK4 probe. They increased from 1 every Monday, to 3.
I wonder just how many are on the draw list. Must be a lot. Cooks/bakers of every kind. I doubt, just like playing the lottery, if I will be lucky any time soon/if ever.
Of course I think any of us on this forum or any griller/smoker person should be in a separate category to get one of their products monthly.
Anyway good products, good company.
And when I first started buying from them, markdowns were rare.
M.

I agree, I've never been blown away by their sale prices. They make good stuff from what I've read, but all I have is a Maverick 732 and a Maverick instant read - it's not spectacular, but it does a decent job with a 3-5 second read. I'd like the MK4, but it's not imperative for me, honestly, with the way I cook, so I'm going to get a Fireboard first.
