Wow. Good price, tempting me to pull the trigger. This is a toy I don't have yet. I was leaning towards the Joule, but at this price the Anova looks good.
If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
Well, at this price I couldn’t say no to finally jumping on the Sous vide bandwagon. Ordered it for the wife to put under the tree for me at Christmas! Haha.

My Anova and the lid for the Rubbermaid container showed up yesterday, 28 hours after ordering, they only had to travel across the state. UPS delivered just before I had to go to town, so I didn't open it until late last night. Picking up the Anova box resulted in the sound of broken glass....oh no. Fortunately it was only a desiccant bag had bust a seam.....whew. The Rubbermaid container comes today after a whirlwind tour from Phoenix to Louisville to Seattle to Moses Lake to Spokane and is now on its way north. I guess I better go wake up that steak in the freezer.
Right now it's back down to $84.15. I've gone from being not at all interested in sous vide to sitting on the fence, and now to leaning toward doing it. At this price, I don't see why not. Getting ready to pull that trigger myself now.
Edit: After much thought and consideration, and having Mrs. R. grill me like a ribeye on the SnS about why I would suddenly want this, I changed my mind once again...

I jumped on it last week. Don’t know much about sous vide, but at that price I’m willing to give it a try. Especially with all of the success stories on this site.
