Update on my Kindling Cracker King (XL). I love it! And I'm glad I waited until they made the King size, because it's perfect and I wouldn't want it to be smaller. I can still slice up some thin sticks on the bigger one, but not always the other way around.
I was able to use it Saturday while running my Yoder cooking a turkey. The only thing I will do different is I will pick up a 4lb sledge, instead of the 3lb I have. The 3lber works, but some harder oak pieces (already split into quarters) took several swats, like 20, and I can't help but think the 4lber would be better for me. I use a lot of apple logs too, and apple when seasoned well is some TOUGH wood.
What do y'all do with yours as far as keeping it outside- do you keep it out in the elements, and if so does it rust?
Here's a pic from their website showing the 2 sizes side-by-side.
