You bet! I bought a second orange about a month ago because my first one went missing. If only I'd have known the sale was coming...

Picked up my Operation BBQ MK4 Pen a few weeks ago. Love it!

You guys might want to wait for this.

I hear you. So you have me in a quandry. Paul is actively out there seeking special deals for members. In a week or so he will tell you about the deepest discount ever on Thermapen and/or Smoke. Should we cancel it?

So how much better is the Thermapen than the Thermopop? I have 3 Thermopops.

Waaaay better. IMHO. fits much better in your pockets too. the probe is protected as well when not in use by the folding action.

If you cook a lot of roasts or briskets, singular hunks of meat it won't matter, but the Thermapen is faster. So if you're doing lots of chicken legs, burgers, or several steaks the speed adds up and is convenient especially when checking temps when searing multiple pieces. I still use my T-pop and love it too. But like Spin says the pen is better if you can afford it.

I'll have to pick one up eventually then. Maybe soon. 3 thermometers seems like the right amount for me. I left one of my Thermopops in the packaging so it's still giftable. I was going to take it to the cabin.

Just got mine ordered! Looking forward to the MK4. I still have the classic after four years and just changed the battery. I love these. I think the MK4 will stay in the kitchen and by the Pit. And the classic will hang out in the truck for BBQ emergencies in remote locations.

I don't think this is a special deal for us. It's just a Halloween sale for the general public.
