So now it’s about November, and the major holidays are just down the freeway. I suspect the typical Turkey specials will be showing up next week, and am curious as to what the new ‘bargain’ price will be. Already, we’re awash with pumpkin spice, and the makings for charcuterie boards are everywhere. Thank heaven we don’t have to put up with those ‘butter boards’ the influencers tried to foist on us for the last few years. For those, all it takes is one good batch of fruit flies, and well… Do influencers ever have good ideas?

And then there was this:

yes, it seems that LIDL has coughed up a riding swiffer cleaner for kids. I’m not sure if I should be delighted or appalled. Probably the latter, given its price point. The thing is, in the back of my head I can also hear Roseanne Barr (back from her ‘domestic goddess’ phase in the 80s) saying “The day I worry about cleaning my house is the day Sears comes out with a riding vacuum cleaner.”

I don’t know about delighted, but I’ll settle for amused.
