Have you ever had the Aldi ribs?
I was there a week or so ago, and was checking them out.
The baby backs looked pretty good, and all the racks that I noticed weighed around the magic 2.5 lb mark, which I was encouraged by.
I didn’t buy any as I have 4 or 5 racks in the freezer already, but at the listed price, I may have to get a rack and bump it to the front of the line…

I have had the ALDI ribs on a few occasions, and they’ve been pretty good. I can’t remember if they are labeled as ALDI brand, Smithfield or Swift, but they behaved as ribs should when cooked/braised/grilled/sousvided.

It’s the Pork Belly I have to careful of; sometimes they’re nicely trimmed, sometimes they’re a bit shreddy and have been folded neatly into a square, sometimes they’re skin-on, but you don’t know that until you get them home. But I can always do something with them.
