If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.

Kroger - $2.99 brisket WITH DIGITAL COUPON

Apparently this sale started Tuesday, and I just saw it today, but my local Kroger has USDA choice brisket on sale for $4.99 a pound, with a digital coupon for another $2 off, making the final price $2.99 per pound, limit 2 per customer. As soon as I get Yvonne situated this morning, I'm hopping in the car and heading over to see if they have any left.

Well, I went yesterday (Saturday), and no briskets were anywhere to be found. I got a few other items like bratwurst on sale, but the cashier told me Wednesday was the day everyone bought up the briskets, as she remembered having to ring them up and being surprised at the weight. Oh well...

I gotta be sure to check their website every Tuesday for the next brisket sale.
