    Pork Butts for $.99/lb

This week at Food Lion in Virginia. Limit 2 with the loyalty card. I'm hoping to pick up my 2 this afternoon. They also have 10 lb bags of chicken leg quarters for $.79/lb.

I love it when FL does this on pork butts.

Me, too! We just got to VA last night in the middle of the night. I went on the FL site this morning just to check whether they were running this special for the holiday weekend,v and they are!

The Kroger stores in my area (but maybe everywhere?) started selling the 10lb bags of chicken leg quarters for $7.99 a couple of years ago. Thinking it was surely a limited time deal, I stocked up. They have gone up slightly since then, but still a good deal.

Our local Kroger still has these from time to time. When I see them, I grab them. Vac-seal and I've got a pretty good feast for about $8.

I see bags like that at both Kroger and Publix here. Walmart sometimes. I just forget about them, but those are the best deal on leg quarters.

Sweet! It’s been years since I’ve seen them that cheap around here.

We get them for $.99 a pound regularly here in Dallas. A few months an ago I picked up a picnic for $.79 a pound. I made Cubanos with it.

Back on the day, we regularly got picnics for $.69 a pound. On occasion they would be $.59 even. Those days are long gone in the Northeast.

They were $1.29 at my local FL in Delaware. Still a good price so I grabbed 2

What part of Virginia are you in...I am in Va as well and the FL near me has them for $1.29.

I can't remember the last time they were $.99 a pound.

I don't think I would save anything with the 8 hour round trip to save $.20 a pound...granted by boat I am only 20ish miles from the eastern shore...

We just got Barbara her own MVP card. We are going to try to get 2 more butts this afternoon.

I see that FL has this in the Charlotte Area this week (5/27-6/2) as well. But strangely, not in the sale flyer. just on the site.

I went in my local Food Lion today, Kilmarnock, Va...last week they were $1.29 today they were $.99 and the sale flyer did not mention them...of course I picked up two more, just because...

I wonder if stores are lowering the prices because they did not sell as many as expected over the rainy weekend...
