Interesting about the pork butts (from last week's post), but today I stopped by my local Food Lion on the way home, and they still had half a dozen pork butts still on sale. This varies widely from store to store. That FL, in a lower income area, often has these specials roll over. Another FL near me, in a more upscale area, runs out almost immediately.

I'm thinking the (slightly) more affluent area will have more residents with smokers and knowledge about butts and what to do with them.

The commissary on base had Tyson chicken at a STEEP discount today. 3 count skin on thighs for 1.20-1.40 packs of wings for less than 2 bucks a dozen, etc... and I beat all the older retirees to the shelf!
