Apologies for being so late this week, it's been a busy one! First it was tax time, then on Wednesday, I (and several hundred other Lowe's associates) participated in Lowe's' annual 24-Hour Bed Build event. We built over 10,000 beds to donate to children through the Sleep in Heavenly Peace organization.
Who are they? They provide beds and bedding to children who don't have them. Check them out: https://shpbeds.org/
What did I do? I measured and cut a lot of wood. Other teams sanded, assembled, branded, finished and stacked the bed frames for delivery. I only covered one 4-hour shift, but there were 5 more shifts after mine. I feel like I'm still recuperating. A lot of noise and activity, more than I'm used to.
