    Thanks for posting.
    I don't even bother looking at the Food Lion specials anymore.
    They are always out of them whenever I'm there. Usually early morning Sundays to beat the crowds.
    The Food Lion in my areas serves 3 times the population that it was designed to. That added to the fact that FL does all of their restocking during business hours, the meat department is usually about 75% empty when I go through, and the rest of the store is difficult to navigate with pallets of product on the floors in every aisle..

      If you see someone around the meat section (employee) I have asked them to check in the back to see if there is any more of whatever I am looking for. They usually bring it out or get someone to cut and package for me.

      Like HawkerXP said. That has worked for me as well. I've also noticed that different stores vary WIDELY (wildly?) in how well they run things.

      And that's a shame, because overall FL has better specials than the other chains.
