Notable market specials in the greater Charlotte NC exurb - check your local sales flyers as well (YMMV).
Did I say there was a lull in the marketplace? Apparently not. Super Bowl is just three weeks away, and they're already starting to push the wings and party foods for that, not to mention the Valentine's Day candy and treats less than a week later. They know, of course, that if we buy this all now, it'll have been eaten by the actual date, so we'll have to buy it again. Hah!
But still, there's a few things out there worth getting for now. HT is pushing the Impossible 'Meat' things at almost affordable prices. I know it isn't quite the same, but it's getting closer to 'as good as', and we'll see if actual meat products don't end up being more expensive. (And this is the inverse of what I'd hoped for them, that the 'plant meats' would just get cheaper - and then worthwhile.) But it's an interesting category, if only I could get past the fact that this is a massively processed food product. Pass the Velveeta, please.
