So what could be better to de-stress then firing up the grill for some backyard therapy? You know. just some burgers and dogs, and maybe a bit of cole slaw on the side, and we will have found Zen. Breathe in, breathe out, smell the grilling. That's the thing. Again.

Yes, around here, the kids are definitely back in school.
- We have the typical getting-used-to-the-bus-routes drama, as typified by buses going around and around their neighborhoods, trying to figure out what the their actual routes are and where the stops should be (accompanied by the screams of student passengers as they realize they went past their stop again). This happens every year in Charlotte.
- We have the bleary-eyed parents trying to fill out the essential school supplies list from what is actually left in stores. One year, we had a teacher who was oddly specific that certain brands and sizes of things were required, despite the fact that some of the items (I'm looking at you, Mr. Prang 8-color student watercolor paint set) were no longer manufactured.
- We also have the same bleary-eyed parents trying to stock up on lunch meat and breakfast fixings, over the objections by their beloved children that Lunchables™ are the only thing they want to eat, and we will not have those things in the house, and by God we will die on that hill.
- And of course, books, and of course, permission slips, and of course, homework worksheets, and of course, what do you mean you need a new computer? we ust got you a nice Pentium workstation 5 years ago?
- Don't let's get started on school clothes. The years my daughters went to a uniform school had been very stress-free in the mornings. Blue skirt, white shirt, go!
